We are less than a day away from having more sunlight in the evenings. Are you as ready as I am?
Here’s your monthly recap:
Best Book I Read This Month
Three Mile an Hour God is a book designed to be read slowwwwly, thoughtfully, and that is exactly how I am reading it. Originally published in 1979 by Japanese theologian Kosuke Koyama, the book approaches the Gospel and a life of following Jesus in a way that is so culturally different from the West. If you have been yearning for cultural diversity in the theologians you’re reading, this book is for you. You can find it here.

I saw this reel and instantly hit save. If you have an iPhone and take as many screenshots as I do, this may rock your world. (Or you may have already known about this and think it is painfully obvious. Just call me tech oblivious!)
Quote of the Month
“I’m 40 years old, and I know myself now. And so if you love me, love me. And if you don’t love me, that’s your loss.” -Andrew Garfield
Thought for the Month
Tell me if this scenario is familiar: You get inspired, you want to change everything, you build a plan, you’re fired up and ready to go.
And then you fizzle out.
Not just me? Good.
It is so tempting to try and change our lives overnight. To chase it all. But that is a recipe for burning things to the ground instead of building anything new.
Instead, incorporate the magic of micro habits, small steps forward that layer and build upon one another.
Here’s one example from my life: I would like to start growing a lot of my own produce. But in past attempts to do so, I’ve spent a lot of money buying all the supplies just to have my plants die.
This time, I’m focusing on growing 5-day salad sprouts in jars on my kitchen counter.
Growing these sprouts takes barely any time at all and minimal supplies. Yet, I’m achieving my goal of growing some produce myself while seamlessly incorporating it into what’s already going on in my life. And, success here will likely motivate me to take another stop forward towards growing more.
Where can you start small in your life right now?
Enjoy your extra sunlight, friends. I’ll catch you next month.
